1. Payments and fees
1.1 Monthly payment of fees must be set up as recurring payments through your online banking, or as a recurring Standing Order on 1st of each month from September to May (9 payments). The final payment date may vary if dancers join part way through the year.
1.2 There will be a 10% charge for late payments (after 7th of the month).
1.3 Fees are reviewed annually in September.
1.4 For other payments such as uniform or exam fees online payments are preferred but if paying in cash, please put it in an envelope with the dancer’s name on.
1.5 Everything must be paid up to date before a pupil is entered for exams, uniform ordered or performances booked.
2. Clothing
2.1 Correct uniform must be worn at every session (except First Steps and Adult Ballet classes).
2.2 Uniform and ballet shoes are to be purchased from Cumbria Ballet School.
2.3 No jewellery, watches or accessories to be worn to class for safety reasons.
2.4 Hair must be neatly tied back for all classes and in a bun or equivalent from Grade One ballet upwards.
3. Classes
3.1 We advise that dancers do not bring any valuables with them to class. Cumbria Ballet School does not accept any liability for lost or damaged belongings.
3.2 Regular attendance is expected. Please inform us of any absences using this page on our website: Absence Report Form.
3.3 Parents/guardians are responsible for their dancer’s behaviour, safety and welfare before and after each class.
3.4 Parents/guardians of pre-school children must remain on the premises for the duration of their child’s class.
4. Leaving
4.1 Dancers are registered with Cumbria Ballet School for the full academic year (or remainder of the academic year if they join part way through).
4.2 Exception: Dancers may leave (or drop a class) at the end of a term if a minimum of 1 month’s written notice has been given and all payments are up to date. i.e. dancers are committing to a full term. If dancers leave before the end of term the full term’s fees must still be paid.
4.3 If 1 month’s written notice has not been given before the end of term then payments are due until the end of the following term.
4.4 No refunds will be given.
For clarification:
Final notice date for leaving on 14th December 2024 is 14th November 2024
Final notice date for leaving on 5th April 2025 is 5th March 2025
From 6th March 2025 notices to leave at the end of the Summer term may be given but all remaining payments for the academic year are still due.
